OnePlus 6 mobile is the latest Smartphone of the OnePlus production, which is selling as the hotcakes. The mobile has consistently produced stand-out handsets as we’ve seen in recent years, so the OnePlus 6 is no exception as well. A series of pop-ups opened in Europe and North America that gave OnePlus users the chance to buy the OnePlus 6 before anyone else. It’s another cheapest mobile from OnePlus and needs extra £19 more than the OnePlus 5T. But, it has improved significantly. You can get the mirror black handset with 6GB RAM and 64GB storage for £469. But, you get a mirror black or midnight black phone with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage for £519. The new one also comes as the silk white handset.
As a result, the OnePlus 6 is going to have a notch. It’s not an open question when OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei admitted as much. But, he adds quickly how it’s not simply just to copy Apple for practical benefit too. So, it’s happened that Apple got that idea first. Moreover, he notes that the OnePlus 6 will still have a chin along with a headphone jack. Also, two things that are no iPhone will ever have again. Naturally, there is some truth to those claims. This is because the notch isn’t simply there as there was no other way to fit the front-facing camera and sensors on a bezel-less screen. Okay, let’s get details of the OnePlus 6 mobile what you need to know.
Features of the OnePlus 6 Mobile
The OnePlus 6 mobile comes with a 6.28-inch screen, which is up from 6in on the OnePlus 5T. It’s also 0.4mm thicker and the 5T was 7.7mm. But, it’s 14g heavier, up from 162g than OnePlus 5T. Moreover, it’s slightly smaller in width and height. It offers a 19:9 ratio AMOLED display with a resolution of 2,280 x 1,080, giving the OnePlus 6 a PPI of 402. Besides, it has two rear cameras with a 16MP f/1.7 along with OIS sensor and a 20MP f/1.7. It has a 16MP f/2 sensor on the front. On the other hand, it’s powered by a 2.65GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor where it comes with 6GB and 8GB of RAM and the phone will be sold with 64 GB, 128GB, and 256GB of storage. Also, OnePlus says the phone is completely “everyday water resistance”.
Besides, you can look away now if you’re not a fan of the iPhone X‘s “notch”. To house the front-facing camera The OnePlus 6 mobile follows suit with a small bezel at the top of the screen. If not, the hardware remains largely the same as the OnePlus 5T, such as a USB Type-C port, the 3.5mm headphone jack, dual SIM capability, and a single speaker grille. But, it doesn’t offer wireless charging or have a microSD expansion slot.

Design of the OnePlus 6 Mobile
Although OnePlus 6 mobile didn’t really get us all excited initially; it’s sporting a ‘new’ design. It looks like the OnePlus 5T except for the dual rear cameras that are now placed at the center instead of the top left corner at first glance. You’re in for a slight disappointment if you’re expecting a major overhaul something similar to what we saw between the OnePlus 5. This could be a rather good change because it feels the same as OnePlus 5T in hand but for those moving to the OnePlus 6 from a different-branded device. Unlike any other OnePlus handsets before OnePlus stresses on the fact that the Smartphone where it uses a glass-coated back panel.
Moreover, it comes with the glass design better in the Midnight Black and Silk White variant than the glossy look. Because this is used in Mirror Black and the special edition Marvel Avengers edition. So, the number of fingerprints the latter models attracts. The latter two may not be good options If you’re someone who wants to keep his/her Smartphone clean and spotless all the time.
Display of the OnePlus 6 Mobile
It’s good to look at because of the OnePlus 6 mobile use the Optic Amoled screen panel. Although its colors are not as vibrant as the one seen in Samsung Galaxy flagships, those don’t appear natural many a times. In case you were wondering, you have the option to hide the notch in the OnePlus 6. Also, it’s possible to select which apps can use the fullscreen mode or not. We’re not a big fan of the notch design as most of the apps are not optimized for them and don’t really use it in a better manner If you ask us.
However, this was the best option to give users an expanded screen while keeping the front-facing camera and the speaker intact when Pei described weeks ahead from the launch of OnePlus 6. Moreover, the notch also comes with an LED notification indicator. It’s that can notice while charging the device or when receiving a notification.
The camera of the OnePlus 6 Mobile
The largest chunk of the OnePlus 6 mobile performance sets with how the camera of the Smartphone works and does a decent job in it. The Smartphone is just a slight upgrade over the OnePlus 5T in theory. It has the same 16MP & 20MP dual rear cameras apart from for a better Sony sensor. Also, the same primary 16MP Sony IMX519 has f/1.7 aperture along with the secondary 20MP Sony IMX376K sensor. It hardly makes any dissimilarity to your resulting shots as the pixel size gets increased in the primary sensor by 0.10um. However, with a good amount of sharpness and clarity, the camera is quick to capture moving subjects. Besides, the Smart Capture technology of the company gets some credit for this that digitally sharpens the image.
While we didn’t actually see a radical difference in daylight shots in general, but, some of the night shots truly came out good quality. Moreover, it has low aperture and the somewhat larger pixel size work in tandem. So, it delivers some of the best low-light shots along with us. Unlike seen in some of the smartphones in the given price segment the resulting images. But, this might not be the preferred one as smartphones such as Galaxy S9+, Google Pixel 2 and even the Huawei P20 Pro do a better job if you do want the best camera performance. However, its price tag makes OnePlus 6 a good offer.
The battery of the OnePlus 6 Mobile
OnePlus 6 mobile battery performance is good as well. It comes with the same 3300mAh capacity onboard as in OnePlus 5T. On a single charge, it can run for over 12 hours easily on an average use. As the battery delivers over 6 hours of on-screen time, so the end users won’t get much to complain here. Because of this, it’s less power consuming FullHD+ resolution screen along with an efficient Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor. Besides, you get a group of battery-saving features on the phone as well. For example, you optimize battery regularly for each app to the Battery Saver mode. In which the OnePlus 6 switches off vibration, location services, and other background tasks. In addition, it lets you set up to activate automatically when the handset hits 5% battery or 15%.
How does the OnePlus 6 Mobile stack up to its Rivals?
So, how does the OnePlus 6 mobile compare to other 2018 flagships in the pipeline from that base? Well, as you know of three flagships for the year: the Samsung Galaxy S9, the Nokia 8 Sirocco, and the Sony Xperia XZ2. But, how does the OnePlus 6 compare? Great, and it’s very favorably. As the Samsung Galaxy S9 uses the Exynos 9810 processor in Europe, it comes with 4GB RAM that’s less than the OnePlus 6. Also, there’s more to a phone than just processor and RAM certainly. Its camera screen and looks all play their part, however in terms of raw specifications. This is why it looks like the OnePlus 6 will more than hold its own against the rivals yet to show their hands so far.
