Android Phone Not Showing Up on PC? Fix It

Rule out the cable and port#

Many bundled and cheap USB-C cables carry power but no data, so the phone charges and never shows files. Fix the computer side#

On Windows, open Device Manager, expand Portable Devices, right-click the phone or “MTP USB Device,” and choose Update driver — or uninstall it and rescan for hardware changes.
