Fix a Google Pixel That Won't Turn On
A dead-looking Pixel is usually a drained battery or a frozen system. Charge it right, force restart it, and use the ring test to spot a broken screen.
A Pixel showing a black screen is usually not broken. Most often it is a fully drained battery or a software freeze, and both are quick to fix. Put it on a known-good wired charger for 30 minutes, then force restart by holding the Power button for about 30 seconds. If the phone rings but the screen stays dark, the display is the likely fault, not the phone.
Rule out a dead battery
A deeply drained Pixel can look completely dead and needs several minutes of charging before the screen reacts. Plug it into a wall outlet with a known-good USB-C charger (Google recommends a 30W USB-C PD adapter), remove the case, and wait one minute for a battery icon to appear. If it is very low, leave it charging at least another 10 minutes.
If nothing appears, suspect the charging path. Check the cable is fully seated at both ends, clear any lint from the USB-C port with a wooden toothpick, and try a second cable and adapter. Force restart a frozen Pixel
If the battery has charge but the screen is frozen or black, force a restart: press and hold the Power button for about 30 seconds, then release when the phone restarts and the Google “G” logo shows. No volume-button combo is needed for this hardware restart; a long single-button hold is what wakes a stuck Pixel. On a very low battery, charge first so the restart has power to finish.
Screen fault or dead phone?
After charging and a force restart, run the ring test. Hold Power for about 35 seconds to reboot, wait roughly two minutes, then call the phone from another phone or ping it with the Find Hub app.

When it boots but keeps crashing
If the Pixel powers on but shuts down or loops, boot into safe mode: press the Power button, and when the boot animation starts, press and hold Volume down until “Safe mode” appears at the bottom of the screen.
